A Day With The Devil

In Empowerment, Encouragement, Encourager, Friend, Jesus, Motivation

A day with the devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other whispering thoughts of doubt and confusion. This tug of war drains us, exhausts us and can cause us to question our faith or even our salvation. Confusion and doubt is our adversary’s weapons of destruction. He went after Jesus; the Son of God and he is after you. His mission is to stop you from chasing your destiny and becoming you.

The Devil doesn’t mind if you go to church

The devil doesn’t mind if you go to church. He wants you to bring your casseroles to the potluck suppers and become a busy volunteer. But in the privacy of your car, home, and job you ask yourself, what’s wrong with me? I go to church. I sing in the choir and the pastor loved my beanie weenie casserole, but something is missing.
The devil has achieved his goal. Your identity is challenged, and you wonder who you are. When you begin to question your identity in Christ, this stops you from chasing your divine destiny.

The church was feeding my emotions but not feeding the hunger in my soul.

That was my story, I did not grow up in a religious home. We went to church on Easter and Christmas. I knew Jesus from church doctrines, traditions and preaching. The church was feeding my emotions but not feeding the hunger in my soul. The question of who Jesus is became personal to me so I went on a search for Jesus.  I discovered my identity through His amazing grace, power and unconditional love.
Today, I enjoy an intimate relationship with Jesus and this inspires me to chase my destiny. I live with peace, purpose and a passion. Every so often I catch a blessing that causes the skeptics to ask me about my unshakable faith.  What they are saying is I want what you have.
In summary, do you sense something missing in your life? Do you question your identity in Christ? If so, pursue Jesus with all your heart, mind and soul. When Jesus becomes the love of your life, you will discover your destiny and your God given dreams will come true. This is your time!

Great Story ~ Everyone experiences this. The (thief) enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. It reminds me of the Indian story of the two wolves.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:

“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

”It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil–he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”

He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

SIN does not begin with the act; it begins with our minds
