The Promoter is a well-written and inspiring story told by Ron Meyers. It’s a story of humble beginnings, and overcoming adversity. I’ve known Ron for close to a decade. I’ve always been inspired by him, and that’s even greater now learning more about the journey he’s taken, and seeing his relentless pursuit of success. A fabulous read!

Approximately six years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Meyers at E-Fitness in Biloxi. It is my privilege to write a review of his book, “The Promoter,” and will say this: “I could not put it down!” I cried, giggled, gasped, and laughed out loud, finishing the entire book on a quiet Saturday, curled up on my couch. God knew it was precisely what my heart and soul needed!

Ron is so relatable and transparent! His book took me back to my childhood years growing up in the 70s, acquiring a strong work ethic helping my oldest brother roll newspapers at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings to sell off the ramp of the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago, having my own paper route at nine years old, shoveling snow for elderly neighbors, and eventually starting my first job at 13 years old at a neighborhood pharmacy. The parallel in our childhoods is uncanny as I also escaped from the home I grew up in by becoming a work-a-holic to survive.

A few of my favorite quotes from his book:

“It was no surprise that I always seemed to gravitate towards the outcasts and misfits, feeling that I fit into this category quite perfectly.”

“So many experiences filled with so much pain and disappointment had taught me to build a wall that I had consciously and unconsciously added mortar to daily….”

“God had to close one door so I could walk through another – – His door.”

“I don’t know about you, but I am tired of perfectly rehearsed answers, sermons, or messages. Can we sometimes cut the crap and let’s just talk real?”

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for HOPE!

“I’ve known Ron for many years. I’ve known him as a businessman and one of faith but it wasn’t until I read his book that I discovered the journey to where he is today. The Promoter is an open and honest account of how God takes the seasons of our lives, the good as well as the bad, and weaves them into His masterful plan. Primarily based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, you may find some familiar people and events throughout this journey. The book is entertaining along with insightful, but most of all it is a message of hope.”

Awesome Book! Thank you for your transparency. I am inspired to pursue my destiny.

This book was the best book I have read in a very long time. Literally a page turner and very hard to put down. You can think you know your friends until your friend writes a book about themselves. Then you love and respect them even more; not only for their willingness to be vulnerable but also for their courage to be totally transparent. Ron does this masterfully. If you ever had a doubt about a person’s total transformation after coming face to face with a Force so much more powerful then they…get this book. Read it. Be brave enough to “examine yourself to see if you are truly of the faith” and allow Ron to walk with you on a journey to full surrender. Well done my friend. Well done!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing and speaking with author over the years. This book “The Promoter” is a true testimony to the man I know. I was shocked to have read of the challenges that plagued Ron to be rectified by the lord. A must read book that will have you in tears and yet exhilarated in the mercy of God. A true testimony of Gods mercy. I was amazed at how similar our lives were, and how we are not alone. Thanks for the knowledge., and your story. I am a better man for reading this book. God is great and this story reveals this.

I met Ron for the first time at the Biloxi Christmas show in 2020. After the church service I found my way to browse the books at his booth. The children’s book Little Johnny and the voice of truth
moved me to tears of joy. I have made Jeremiah 29:11 personal by putting children’s names in the verse.“ I have a plan for you Curt says the Lord….“.
I purchased one book. As I was helping at a booth, I shared the book with my daughter. She said her 2 college age children would like a copy. So I purchased books for each household then the Holy Spirit took over. This book would be perfect for the children in Sunday school, and my sisters grandchildren, the grandmothers in my Bible study could bless their grandchildren. As Ron said the message is written for a child but Daddy and Mommy are reading it too. The seeds are planted.
Then I noticed the new release of Ron’s book the promoter. I purchased a copy for my husband and 3 extra copies as gifts. When I arrived home in Illinois my husband read it in one day. I too enjoyed the easy inspiration story. Having met Ron only once, I felt like we had been friends for years. I highly recommend both books as real treasures to spread Gods love to the world. Thank you Ron.

In the vein of such great authors like Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins and Max Lucado, Ron Meyers has written a novel and self help book all in one. He intertwines a real story of personal pain and struggles with a message of hope, faith and gratitude. He gives readers a true example how one can go from rags to riches regardless of your current circumstances. This book could be one of those “life changing” just as Zig Ziglar’s “See You At The Top” was for me. God bless!
